From Meenu's Kitchen: Neha's Mom


This Chilli Sauce recipe is almost like an heirloom because Neha's mom, Meenu used to make it when Neha was growing up and passed it to her, who now prepares it and keeps it handy for her boys. The boys love to have chilli paneer, chilli aloo and chilli fritters with this "special" chilli sauce.

Chilli Sauce

INGREDIENTS :

Red dry chillies- 20.

Vinegar- 1 cup to soak chillies.

Peeled garlic- 1 pod.

Tomato ketchup- 2 tbsp.

Sugar and salt to taste.

DIRECTIONS :

(for Chole)

Soak the dry red chillies in vinegar for about an hour.

Now boil the chillies. Once boiled let them cool.

Add the garlic to the soaked chillies.

In a mixer grinder, grind them both with tomato ketchup.

Add sugar and salt to taste while grinding.

When the sauce is ready, store it in an airtight bottle. Use as and when you like.
